State Dino stamps

Assignment

Design a set of themed postage stamps, The pieces need to be cohesive as set.

I chose Dinosaurs for my stamps because dinosaurs are cool and I wanted to have fun with the assignment.

My process

After doing my initial round of research I began sketching out ideas, Once I had the species narrowed down I still needed to work on the way the stamps would be styled.

Originally my stamps took inspiration from their respective state flags, I decided to move away from this concept in order to avoid overlapping colors and themes.

I wanted to imitate the look of engraved print materials so created a custom brushes for the effect. Once I was satisfied with a style I re-defined my sketches.
